This program allows government entities to finance purchases of assets with a useful life of two years or longer. Local government entities are allowed to piggy-back on State contracts and programs.
These are the three programs that currently exist under the State Financial Marketplace:
- GS $Mart - This program provides for a financing, otherwise known as a "Municipal Lease", or a "Lease Purchase" or an "Installment Purchase" of assets.
- Lease $Mart - This program provides for "Operating Lease" or "True Lease" opportunities for assets. Due to the State's budgetary crisis there are no Lessors currently posting lease factors. Any of this type of transaction will be looked at on a one by one basis.
- Energy $Mart - This program provides financing for Energy Management transactions where energy improvements are made to facilities, and financed with the energy savings over a period of time. Due to the State's budgetary crisis there are no Lenders currently posting interest rates for Energy Management financings. Any of this type of transaction will be looked at on a one by one basis.
