General Liability Claims

ORIM also administers general liability claims programs for the Department of Social Services Foster Care Program and the Department of General Services. General liability claims are those claims not involving the use of motor vehicles.  Examples of typical general liability claims are: slip and falls and contract disputes. The techniques used to resolve general liability claims are similar to those used to investigate and adjust motor vehicle claims.  When legal representation is required, services are provided by the Office of the Attorney General.
