General Risk Management Consulting
The Office of Risk and Insurance Management (ORIM) provides to state agencies, the following risk management services which are funded through an annual assessment.
- Review and advise on insurance requirements contained within:
Construction Contracts Service Contracts Lease Contracts Bond Indentures
- Analysis and development of strategies to control and reduce losses;
- Support and maintenance of a centralized database of insurance information for vendors;
- Ongoing analysis of the most effective method for funding losses experienced by the state;
- Development and maintenance of Internet Website as a resource to departments on risk management issues;
- Issuance of self-insurance letters;
- Assistance with contract negotiations with State Compensation Insurance Fund for the administration of workers' compensation claims;
- Review of and make recommendation on risk management and insurance legislation impacting departments.
