ORIM Services:

General Risk Management Consulting

The Office of Risk and Insurance Management (ORIM) provides to state agencies, the following risk management services which are funded through an annual assessment.
  • Review and advise on insurance requirements contained within:
                       Construction Contracts
                       Service Contracts
                       Lease Contracts
                       Bond Indentures
  • Analysis and development of strategies to control and reduce losses;
  • Support and maintenance of a centralized database of insurance information for vendors;
  • Ongoing analysis of the most effective method for funding losses experienced by the state;
  • Development and maintenance of Internet Website as a resource to departments on risk management issues;
  • Issuance of self-insurance letters;
  • Assistance with contract negotiations with State Compensation Insurance Fund for the administration of workers' compensation claims;
  • Review of and make recommendation on risk management and insurance legislation impacting departments.
